Philip Roosen is responsible for the daily management of the Victoris consortium. He is the head of the Department of Physical Therapy and Motor Rehabilitation. He studied physiotherapy and podiatry and obtained a PhD in ‘motor rehabilitation and physiotherapy’, at the University of Brussels (VUB). He had his own physical therapy practice for 15 years and was also managing director of the Centre for Biomechanical Evaluation Studies (Cebes) at the VUB. At present, Philip Roosen is active in the domain of applied biomechanics of foot and ankle disorders. His research relates to the risk factors, prevention strategies and treatment of lower limb injuries, with a focus on foot and ankle. He (co)authored more than 30 peer reviewed scientific publications in this field, is also author of several books and frequently asked as lecturer.
