Prof. Dr. Dirk De Clercq

Dirk De Clercq is the chairman of the Victoris consortium. He obtained his PhD in 1990 and is currently full time professor in sport biomechanics. He teaches biomechanics and movement analysis courses at bachelor and master level in Physical Education and Movement Sciences. He guides master and doctoral theses in the area of applied biomechanics. He authored more than 115 SCI publications in international peer reviewed journals and obtained funding for more than 40 scientific and corporate service projects. He takes the lead at the Sport Science Laboratory – Jacques Rogge at the Department of Movement and Sports Science of the Ghent University.
