Adelheid Steyaert is part of the daily management of Victoris. She is doctor in physical rehabilitation and sports medicine and is working as a professor at the Center of Sports Medicine of the Ghent University Hospital. She leads a multidisciplinary team of doctors and paramedics. Her clinical activities consist of helping patients for sports traumatology, exercise physiology and ultrasound. She performed her PhD on the effect of Substance P on the sutured Achilles tendon rupture in the rat. Adelheid Steyaert is also teaching students in medicine, physical therapy education and sports medicine. She’s a member of the scientific rowing committee.
